I am surprised by the depth of the flavor. It is probably one of the best I have ever eaten. Service was quick. Ambiance was quiet. There are definitely not enough customers as I think they should have given the quality of their food. Definitely will come back. I honestly would give them a 6/5 for the food if I can. ”

“ Still a big fan of this place, as it is open late and serves my favorite chicken pho. The current menu has changed a bit since my last visit. Prices have gone up a couple of dollars, and some dishes were added or taken off the menu. They now serve bun rieu! I still always end up with my usual, the chicken pho. They use organic skin on chicken to make the broth, and you can taste the difference. You had the option of choosing dry style or regular and white meat or dark meat in the past. The new menu didn't really list the options, but the owner did say you can choose the preparation style. I always order mine extra hot. I love how they bring out a side of ginger fish sauce for dipping your chicken pieces, and I love the array of condiments to choose from including roasted garlic, which I use happily. The pho now comes in a large size only now, which is another change. At $13 plus tax, it's a little pricier than other places, but it's a very satisfying. Will definitely be back. ”

“ This is a pretty tasty spot in Little Saigon. My friend suggested we check it out as she was craving Vietnamese food. We came in at 7pm on a Tuesday evening and it was not very busy. We were able to order quickly and both opted for the Bun Suong Shrimp Ball Soup (B1) as it seemed quite popular. Our food came out quickly and was steaming hot and delicious. The broth had a bit of a kick to it with an amazing flavor that soaked into the shrimp balls. I loved the noodles as well. They also provide extra chili oil if you're in the mood for more spice. I was not able to finish my whole bowl - it is a very large portion! Overall, it was very well priced, the Pho was delicious and the service was prompt and friendly. I would definitely check this place out if you find yourself in the area. ”

This spot is located in a little shady area of Viet/Chinatown, you definitely need to be aware of your surroundings. The restaurant was spacious & pretty clean. I decided to order their fresh coconut juice & Bun suong tra vinh. The coconut juice was barely sweet & I had a good 3-4 sips, definitely wasn't worth 6.99. There was barely any juice inside, but I can't blame them for this. I really enjoyed my soup, it's basically Vermicelli noodles with shrimp. The broth was savory and kind of sour. I added Sriracha sauce to add some heat to it. The pork was a little chewy but good nonetheless. For the price, I thought they showed a lot of love on the portions, this will fill you up for sure. Overall, good service/food, I'll definitely come back. ”

“ I owe Pho Ga La Chanh restaurant a visit from few weeks ago. I came after they closed at midnight partly blaming on working too late and partly on wrong operating hours. I came by last night. I called before I made my way there. Drive was easy and found the place right away. I just don't like nighttime driving in Little Saigon. I had no idea what they serve until I looked at this giant menu. Ain't it a chicken on the corner of menu? Looking around... so many chickens on the wall. Ahhhh... Ga is chicken. Sorry. I don't read Vietnamese. But the aroma from the kitchen woke me up. I was beyond hungry. I missed my lunch and dinner because of my virtual karaoke party at work. I crave spicy soup. Server recommendated a perfect dish - Bun Suong. According Thompson's Yelp review, this is one and only restaurant serving this dish in Houston. Well, ain't I lucky? I know takeout food has different experience than eating at the restaurant. After assembling my food in a giant noodle bowl. Mmm... the savory soup was so delicious. Everything came together like a happy family. I would ask for less chives next time. Price is reasonable for what I got. Shrimp and fish were the proteins. Chrysanthemums leaves, cilantro, chives, bean sprouts and culantro filled up the bowl with noodles. I love the pickled jalapenos. $11.55 plus tax came up to $12.51 was well worthy. I would come back but I need a foodie friend to explain the dishes for me. ”
